Method to Connect Night Owl DVR to App
Verify that your Night Owl DVR is turned on, linked to your network, and correctly configured.
Step 1: Download the app first.
You must first download the Night Owl Connect app on your smartphone. This software may be obtained on the software Store or Google Play Store and works with both iOS and Android devices. Install "Night Owl Connect" by searching for it on your tablet or smartphone.
Step 2: Launch the app in step two and sign up.
Open the app after it has been installed. A new account must be made, or you must log in if you already have one. To create an account with Night Owl Connect, just follow the instructions on-screen.
Step 3: Add Your Device
To use the app, you must either log in or create an account before adding your Night Owl DVR.
- Select "Add Device" or "Add NVR/DVR" from the app's menu.
- The app could ask for permission to use your device's camera and location. Since they are required for remote access, grant these permissions.
- You must use your DVR to scan the QR code. This code is often found on a sticker attached to the DVR.
- You may manually input the DVR's details, including its serial number and device name (which you can customize), if you are unable to see the QR code.
- Enter the username and password for your DVR. Usually, they are set when your DVR is first configured.
- To finish the setting, click "Save" or "Add".
Step 4: Connect to your DVR
You may connect to your DVR remotely after it has been added to the app.
- In the app, click on the name of your device.
- Enter the username and password for your DVR.
- Either choose "Connect" or "Login."
Step 5: View your cameras
Congratulations! Your Night Owl DVR and the mobile app are now linked. On your smartphone or tablet, you can now remotely see your cameras. You can often move between cameras, see recorded video, and adjust settings using the app's user-friendly interface.
